Delegation from the European Research Council visits XJTU
On September 6, a delegation from the European Research Council (ERC), led by its Secretary General Professor Donald B. Dingwell, visited XJTU. They were welcomed by XJTU Assistant President Professor Rong Mingzhe in room 107 of the Science Hall. In addition of the representatives of the European Research Council, the representatives of EU Delegation in Beijing also joined the visit.
Assistant President Rong Mingzhe gave the visitors a brief introduction to XJTU and thanked Professor Dingwell for making XJTU the first stop on the delegation’s visit to China, whose purpose was to make the ERC better known in China.
Following the welcoming, members of the delegation presented some of the work of the ERC to XJTU faculty members and students in room 207 of the Science Hall. They also discussed the ERC’s grant schemes and grant management, and the EU’s links with China. One of the beneficiaries of ERC funding, Dr. Cao Ming, shared his experience with the audience.
