XJTU attends the 4th Sino-European Engineering Education Workshop
From September 12 to 14, a delegation from XJTU attended the 4th Sino-European Engineering Education Workshop, held at the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie.Representatives from 16 Chinese universities and 12 European universities attended the workshop. Among other things, they discussed and promoted the implementation of the Sino-EU Doctoral School for Sustainability Engineering and approved the applications of 4 Sino-European projects and endorsed the decision made last year that the 5th Sino-European Engineering Workshop would be held at XJTU from September 18 to 20, 2014.
The Director of the International Office of the XJTU Graduate School, Professor Li Jianying, attended the workshop and on behalf of XJTU he extended his thanks to Karlsruher Institut für Technologie and welcomed all the guests to XJTU for the 5th workshop next year.
Currently, the Sino-EU Engineering Education Platform consists of 18 Chinese universities and 12 European universities and seeks to promote extensive cooperation among the engineering colleges and universities of the Sino-European Project with regard to the joint training of promising engineering students at each academic degree level, the training of teachers, the compilation of textbooks and the carrying out of scientific research. The Platform is dedicated to training high-quality senior engineers and promoting the recognition of Sino-European engineering education.
